Alexandra Sargent

Growing up with a Buddhist father and a Greek Orthodox mother with Great Uncles who were highly respected Orthodox Priests in Greece, Alexandra’s interest in Eastern philosophy and spirituality began at a young age.  During her collegiate years at the University of Redlands she created her own major in their Interdisciplinary program; where she studied photography, creative writing, and environmental studies. It was in her East Asian Art class that her
studies led her to India, the Vedas and Yoga asana.
Shortly after graduating from Redlands she moved to Loveland, Colorado working as a farm intern at a spiritual community to experience a deeper connection to food and the earth. Following her internship she continued her stay at the same intentional community and retreat center known as Sunrise Ranch. While living there she completed Full Self Emergence; a 27-week residential
program with the Emissaries of Divine Light for awakening the creative spirit within, and learned other Group leadership tools such as the Enneagram and Shadow work. Alongside her deepening Yoga practice in Denver, this time brought about self-discovery, raw honesty, and transformation.  As a student of yoga for nearly two decades, Alexandra moved back to the Bay Area and began her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Works in 2014.  During her training she discovered the living science of Ayurveda, and since then
has been in her Ayurvedic Health Counselor program with Hale Pule; with her graduation approaching in March 2020. In between she has completed her Ayurvedic Chef training in Kauia in 2017, and Ayurvedic Treatment training in India in 2019. With an Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula training, Pancha Karma Treatment Training, and Ayurvedic Practitioner programs on the horizon, her commitment is to being a life-long student, and teacher.  Whether she is backpacking in the wild, on her yoga mat, cooking sattvic meals in the kitchen, or giving healing treatments, her life has become an expression of
her connection to the god of her heart. She loves bringing healing and love to everyone around her, and finds inspiration in the mountains and books of poetry.

Micayla Kuehn

Micayla is a bay area native, but her healing journey began while living on the island of Kauai, in 2012. It was there, removed from the daily distractions of the daily hustle & grind, that she began to really connect with the environment & herself. She began doing yoga & meditation, and started looking at her unhealthy habits & beliefs about herself. The intention to begin loving & healing herself brought her to Ayurveda, an ancient healing system that focuses on self-responsibility and self-care as a means to bring balance to the mind and body, and to cultivate more self-love. She then studied at the California College of Ayurveda in 2015, where she also did an herbal apprenticeship program & became a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. She went on to do a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, an ayurvedic body therapy training, and a Vedic Immersion experience at an Ayurvedic healing center on Kauai for two months.

While living in the bay area, she has become very aware of the collective struggle to keep a balanced & healthy lifestyle while living in our fast-paced modern society. Her intention is to provide the tools and information to help clients feel empowered to take responsibility for their health & happiness. She has seen the powerful impact that Ayurvedic diet & lifestyle changes can have on creating balance & health, which is why she is dedicated to bringing Ayurveda’s wisdom to her community.

She currently works as an Ayurvedic Health Coach and Bliss body therapist, as well as a wellness counselor at a middle school in Concord, & yoga teacher at an elementary school in Lafayette.
